The Job — Workers Compensation Claims Representative for Guard Insurance Company

Location — Work from home, must live in Florida

Job Responsibilities 

Review workers’ compensation claims, determine compensation and coverage issues related to loss of time and injury.

Manage caseload consisting of approximately 150 claims in Southeastern region of the country.

Interact with claimants, attorneys, rehabilitation centers and personnel, doctors and investigators as needed.

Handle litigation files within authority granted, direct settlements as authorized by management.

Requirements/Qualifications 

Strong oral and written communication skillset.

Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.

Strong computer skills necessary.

Experience handling litigated claims in the state of Florida preferred.  Florida insurance license required.

Experience handling claims in surrounding states of West Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina preferred.

Organizational and time management skills necessary.

Schedule — Full time, flexible.
