Job Responsibilities — From the Monster job posting:
-Assist and encourage the hospital with timely discharge planning. (telephonic inpatient care management)
-Determine medical appropriateness of outpatient services and admission to recovery facilities of following evaluation of medical guidelines and benefit determination
-Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
-Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
-Work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
–Translate concepts into practice
Act as a resource for others
-Unrestricted RN license required in state of residence
-2 or more years of experience in discharge planning and/or utilization review
-3 or more years of experience of hands on clinical experience (Hospital; LTAC; Skilled Nursing Facility – SNF; Acute Inpatient Rehab -AIR)
-Ability to create, edit, save and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word. Ability to navigate a Windows environment. Familiar with MS Excel
