Job Responsibilities —  From the job listing:

 In this position, you will perform the essential role of conducting telephonic interviews for clients who have applied for insurance.  This position reports to the Underwriting Services Telephonic Interviewer Supervisor.

-Conduct telephonic interviews for insurance company applicants in a quiet professional environment without interruptions and/or distractions.
-Receive calls from Customer Service area to complete telephone interviews with long term care applicants as they call the company.
-When necessary, tactfully refocus applicants who wander off the subject.
-Give concise, accurate documentation on client’s health history.
-Maintain quality and productivity with all tasks.
-Complete all interviews in a timely manner, according to department guidelines.
-Determine follow-up questions needed for a thorough assessment.
-Identify and document health issue flags for underwriters.
-Likely required to attend in-office meetings an average of four hours per month. Travel is at employee’s own expense.
-Must attend a five day, in-office training session at the beginning of employment in Eden Prairie / Woodbury

Requirements/Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent GED
1+ years of administrative or customer service experience required
1+ years of telephonic experience required
Must type at least 40 words per minute
Ability to navigate and operate through computer programs and is proficient with MS Excel and Outlook
Ability to complete health interviews in a quiet, professional environment without interruptions and/or distractions
Excellent interpersonal skills, including:
Building a trusting, friendly relationship quickly,
Communicating effectively and handling demanding people over the phone,
Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and a professional demeanor,
Demonstrated team player, problem solver and decision maker
Ability to identify health issue flags for Underwriters
Ability to determine follow-up questions needed for a thorough assessment

Schedule — Will be scheduled between 1:30 to 10:30 PM during weekdays, and 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays.
