The Job —  Telephone Service Representative for Gerber Life Insurance

Location —  Work at home, or at company facility located in Fremont, MI.    On site training required for new hires.

Job Responsibilities 

Provide customer service to existing Gerber Life customers.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding life policies.   Process change requests, answer billing questions, and process payments.

Help customers purchase and upgrade policies by engaging in consultative conversations regarding financial and insurance products.

Handle customer inquiries in a private and consistent manner, while meeting company and compliance requirements.

Requirements/Qualifications 

High school diploma or equivalent.

State insurance licence – Training and company paid testing for a multi-state licence is provided.  New hires must pass licensing requirements within stated deadline for continued employment.

Two years customer service experience.

Call center experience preferred, bilingual is a plus.

PC data entry skills, ability to multitask while conversing with clients.

Home office candidates must have quiet workspace, computer with monitor, high speed internet connection (no satellite), and must attend 10 weeks training onsite in Fremont, Michigan.

Schedule — Full time (40 hours per week).  Evening and Saturday shifts are required.
