CenturyLink is seeking a Tech Support Technician I to join our customer contact center for residential customers .The position will provide technical support for high speed internet, video and voice customers via phone, chat and email.
-Accurately identify issues and provide resolution for email, security software, high speed internet and home telephone connectivity issues, wireless support, and customer education.
-Demonstrate a consistently friendly, helpful attitude, empathy and patience while promptly resolving technical issues.
-Technicians are encouraged to proactively offer and/or upgrade customer’s current CenturyLink services to ensure that customers are taking advantage of products and services that are available to meet their needs. Referral bonus programs are in place for completed sales.
-Excellent interpersonal, written, typing and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions and understand concerns.
-Must possess professional and friendly attitude and ability to develop a rapport with customers.
-Ability to quickly learn and navigate through multiple systems.
-Strong work ethic and self starter, able to work effectively in a fast paced call center environment.
-Strong knowledge of PC hardware/software and familiarity with data products and services.
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MAC, OS drivers, and familiarity with TCP/IP protocols.
