Member Care Rep for Nordstrom (Texas)

The Job —  Member Care Rep for Nordstrom Call Center

Location — Work from home, position advertised in Texas

Job Responsibilities —  From the company job board:

  • Handle high volume of calls in an efficient and effective manner
  • Answer customer questions regarding account information, order status, return status, product information, policies, procedures, site navigation and time frames
  • Accurately log all handled calls and calculate price adjustments, when applicable
  • Liaise with Nordstrom Credit and shipping carriers
  • Follow through with service commitments made to members with a sense of urgency
  • Engage in open communication with different levels of leadership
  • Immediately report all issues with programs or accessories used to complete daily duties
  • Be able to maintain company and customer confidentiality
  • Work with special teams to resolve customer inquiries and report suspected fraudulent accounts to appropriate team

Requirements/Qualifications —  From the company job posting:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to make sound decisions with a strong sense of urgency
  • Good listening, critical and analytical skills
  • Has “thick skin” and is able to handle complaints in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to navigate Control Panel, clear cookies and cache
  • Must have an understanding of different internet browsers
  • Competently multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Eager to assist customers, with a desire to improve customer satisfaction
  • Ability to type 35 WPM
  • Ability to train for 10 days

Schedule —  Ability to work 40 hours per week. The call center is open between 6am and 10pm, 7 days a week.
