Job Responsibilities —  From the company job posting:

  • Write and edit multiple-choice and technology-enhanced math items that are grade-specific and closely adhere to standards;
  • Create both real-world and mathematical problems that are interesting and challenging;
  • Design graphics (in the form of spec art) to accompany items;
  • Enter and appropriately code items in client content management systems;
  • Write and edit lesson plans and other instructional materials for students in K-8 and beyond;
  • Hire and oversee freelance math item writers;
  • Edit math materials created by freelance math writers.


A bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics or related field;
At least two years’ experience writing and editing test items;
Elementary or middle-school teaching experience preferred;
Familiarity with the Common Core (both SBAC and PARCC);
Outstanding computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies;
Ability to accept and incorporate feedback from clients and senior staff;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
Experience with MathType software;
Ability to adhere to tight deadlines;
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work as part of a team
