Job Responsibilities

  • Complete travel arrangements (domestic and international) for client with air, hotel, car and ground transportation, utilizing preferred providers to maximize revenue for company or client.
  • Follow company procedures, guidelines and standards in the areas of customer service, building Passenger Name Records (PNRs) and profiles, ticketing, utilization of GDS, attendance, accuracy of work, invoicing, etc.
  • Participate fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client.
  • Attend staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in the travel industry and office procedures.
  • Keep immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action which may be taken.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Primary agent for international ticketing and international air revenue maximization.
  • Test and implement process improvements, new procedures and technology enhancements.
  • Potential to oversee our International Rate Desk staff and operations
  • Evaluate, monitor, develop measurements for use of consolidators.
  • Train other agents on international ticketing and supervising their progress.
  • Formalize process standardization/documentation for consistency.
  • Participate in the interview and selection of additional international agents.
  • Audit commission processes.
  • Research and resolve agent and client issues with Team Leaders.
  • Specialize in faring, tariff, and pricing records as it relates to International Passenger Name Records.
  • Develop process for generating meaningful reports related to international ticketing.
  • Communicate with operations and IT to ensure staff is trained on preferred suppliers and documentation of records required so Executive Travel receives appropriate credits/revenues for all bookings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all travel suppliers, with an emphasis on preferred Suppliers.

  • Develop and manage strategy to maximize supplier revenue agreements – balancing the needs of the client, suppliers and Executive Travel.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all Executive Travel supplier revenue agreements.
  • Work with preferred suppliers on strategies and incentives to maximize the business partnership.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-Secondary education in Travel and Tourism is preferred.
  • A Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a corporate travel consultant of which, 5 must be focused on international travel reservations is required.
  • Current experience with international ticketing with a regional or national sized travel management company is preferred.
  • In depth working knowledge of airline procedures relating to ticket issuance, exchanges, voids, refunds and resolutions of customer issues, for both domestic and international travel.
  • Current GDS experience. Apollo is preferred.
  • Experience training other travel agents/consultants on international ticketing is preferred.

Schedule —  8am – 5pm or 8:30am to 5:30 pm CST.
