American Express Customer Care Professional (National)

The Job —  Home Based Servicing Customer Care Professional for American Express

Location — Work at home.  Available in almost all states with a few exceptions, notably California

Job Responsibilities 

Respond to customer inquiries regarding various American Express products, primarily credit cards.

Recommend solutions for card members, tailoring to the needs of the customer.

Advise customers of relevant offers and products related to their account.

Build customer loyalty on each and every call, increasing value of AMEX products and services.amex_logo

Document necessary information in company database

Requirements/Qualifications —

Four years customer service experience, or a four year degree.

Ability to multitask through multiple company systems in a fast paced environment.

Consultative experience, with a preference for candidates experience in owning or managing a small business

Past work at home experience with a virtual team preferred.

Ability to meet and exceed metrics

Schedule —  Center is open 24/7.  Employees will work fixed schedules that may include nights and weekends.  Paid training before regular shift schedule begins.

Compensation — Average representative earns $16.13 an hour (base+incentive) according to the job ad.  Top performers can earn up to $28 an hour.
