WellPoint’s NurseLine is a 24/7 telephone triage, so you will have to work some off hours. Of course most RNs are already used to working long hours and overnights, so that won’t be too difficult. Registered Nurses working this position will be responsible for the following:
-Assess caller’s needs in a professional manner, and document needs concisely.
-Provide caller with appropriate medical information
-Review and recommend treatment based on caller’s situation
To qualify for this at home position with WellPoint, candidates must have a current RN licence in states being served. Two to three years of acute clinical experience are also preferred, with ER, ICU, and surgery emphasis. Strong computer skills, a quiet workplace, and the ability to become licensed in multiple states is needed. Experience working in a telephone triage setting is also strongly preferred.
Finally, candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and complete an online assessment within 48 hours of applying for the job.
